  • Study Group - Cancelled

In the Spring 2020 Bible Study Series we are going to examine the five shortest books in the canon of scripture. Four of these might be considered to be letters. Letters of encouragement, letters of warning, letters of expectation, letters of intercession and letters of thanksgiving. The fifth is something wholly different. It is a laconic piece of descriptive writing in which the author attempts to convey the content of a ‘heavenly-vision’. Together we will explore these writings. There will be five Bible Study Sessions – • January 28th • February 11th • February 25th • March 10th • March 24th Our sessions are: 10am for Tea/Coffee with a 10:30 start. The sessions will finish at about 11:30. We will meet in the John Williams Room. All sessions will be led by Rev David Pattie – further information at

  • Argyle Orchestra - Cancelled

The concert is full of delights mixing as usual the familiar with some rarities. We open with a string symphony composed by Mendelssohn when he was a mere boy. Our guest soloist is flautist Estelle Greeley who will be playing a suite by Bloch and Gluck’s Dance of the Blessed Spirits which I suspect is fairly high on Classic FM’s Hall of Fame. Sara Stagg will be conducting the second half of the concert which will include an Elegy by Tchaikovsky, a lively divertimento by Leo Weiner and Telemann’s Viola concerto with Tim Robb as soloist. Entry by programme on the door £8. Accompanied children free.
